The John Breaux Story

is a documentary of a man whose life purpose became that of always helping others without ever asking for help or expecting anything in return.  It is a wonderful, inspirational and unusual story of how the deeds of one man touched so many people.  How RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS touched and changes those people’s lives.  This film will have moving images, portraits with people sharing their personal experience about John Breaux and footage of John himself.  Part of this documentary is seen as that of people telling their story about John and how much he said, "I have to be more like Jesus, for the people."  This story will include footage, various still action photos and news footage of John Breaux.

Press Release

Lafayette and Louisville, Colorado, Boulder County - White Bike Productions, LLC

A Living Legacy of Fostering Random Acts of Kindness

Whether it was picking up trash along the side of the road; or shoveling snow at local schools; or cleaning up the pews after every church service, and not only on Sunday mornings, John Breaux was always there to help others, never asking for anything in return. He was a living example of the difference one person can make with random acts of kindness. In January 2009, John Breaux lost his life and was killed by a driver, as he was picking up trash on the side of the road. The Lafayette, Louisville, and surrounding communities of Boulder County, Colorado, lost his immesurable contribution to the spirit and well-being of these northern Colorado cities.

About the Musicians

Larry Chaney of Jamb Kitchen - is also the lead guitarist for Edwin McCain Band

I wrote "Be Like John" after my friend, Lorenza Maksimow shared the story of John Breaux. She flew out to visit and asked if I would write a song. Once I read Lori’s Lyrics, I got inspired and started to hear a song, based on her poem. After the recording, it was difficult for me to be objective because it was now close to my heart. John was an exceptional person and exceptional people aren't always obvious to us until something happens. It has truly inspired me! Now when I see a man on the street I think: Better than assuming that person is homeless or down on their luck, I now give them the benefit of the doubt. It teaches us not to assume about people.

Meet the WBP Team

The White Bike Productions' team was quickly formed by Lorenza Maksimow's passion. Through her connections, she put this team together with excitement to produce The John Breaux documentary. Its' premier, a short 12-minute film was featured at the Broomfield Film Series in May, 2009. The presentation was made possible with the help of Howard Zaremba of Boulder Valley Channel 22. This festival is where Alan O'Hashi and Kevin Zwack got excited about being part of the Production Team. Another team member, Don Souza, is one of Lorenza's classmates from Wangenheim Junior H.S. in San Diego, who connected through FACEBOOK'S social networking technologies. Richard Cueto is a long time family friend of the Briones, from Mexico City, for more than 50 years. Steven Replin, Esq., quickly joined the Team after being most inspired by hearing the story of John Breaux.
